Internet service is provided through a connection to the Bridgewater State College Network. A high-speed data line connects the college backbone to the outside world. This service provides a faster connection to the Internet than a modem. It allows access to popular tools like the World Wide Web, FTP, e-mail and more.
To recieve full support from the ResNet staff, computers must meet the following specifications:
All computers not meeting this standard, or having a different Operating System (*including Mac OS or Linux) will receive 1 hour of ResNet support provided that the computer self-boots. If the computer does not self-boot or ResNet staff has worked on the computer for one hour, users will need to get assistance from a commercial repair facility, such as those listed below.
