Mail Support for Mobile Devices Statement

You can send and receive email from your Bridgewater State University email account using your mobile device, or by using an 802.1x supported device. Using your mobile device to send and receive email can generate a large amount of traffic. As a result, we recommend you review your cellular plan prior to configuring your device to ensure you don't incur any additional data related costs. Listed below is information that your provider technician may need to assist you in setting up your mobile device:

 

Emails ending in: bridgew.edu

  • Mail server type: Microsoft Exchange
  • Exchange server web address: https://owamail.bridgew.edu/exchange
  • Mail server name: owamail.bridgew.edu
    • Use of SSL is required
  • Username: Your BSU username
    • Some mobile devices require you place a BSC\ before the username: BSC\username
  • Domain: BSC

 

Emails ending in: student.bridgew.edu

  • Mail server type: Other
  • Incoming Mail Server: pop3.live.com - Port 995
  • Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.live.com - Port 587
    • Use of SSL is required
  • Username: Your BSU username
    • Some mobile devices require you place a BSC\ before the username: BSC\username
