Obscene/Harassing Calls
It is both a state and federal crime to make obscene or harassing telephone calls. Penalties range from
imprisonment and/or fines.
If you receive an obscene, harassing, or threatening call, do not talk to the caller. Just hang up the phone and
report the call(s) to campus Police at ext. 1212. You will be asked to submit a written report, so that they can
conduct a criminal investigation.
Campus police and the ResNet team will work together with you to change your phone number if deemed necessary.
